Area-wide symposium held to combat designer drugs

An area-wide health symposium will be held Saturday, Feb. 20.

Combating so-called drugs like synthetic marijuana is the focus of an all-day event coordinated by Lubbock Christian University and Nurses Educating on Illegal Drugs and Synthetics.

The symposium will feature presentations on a variety of topics including education and prevention efforts. 

The event will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Talkington Center for Nursing Education building.
