Suspect indicted for local musician's murder

The Lubbock County Grand Jury indicts a suspect in the shooting death of a local musician.

Pete Garcia Jr., 55, remains jailed on a murder charge with a $1 million bond.

He's accused of killing 51-year-old Orestes "West" Garza Feb. 7.

According to police reports, the victim was shot in the parking lot after he attended mass at St. Elizabeth's church.

Investigators report Garza was dating the suspect's ex-wife, who witnessed the shooting.
