Johnson seeks Lubbock municipal judge seat

Posted:

Phil Johnson announced he is running for Lubbock municipal judge.

Johnson says his experience in the court is what sets him apart from the other candidates.

He says one goal is to revamp several current city websites to make it more efficient and user-friendly for taxpayers.

"Just like anything else, there has to be a time for change and that's where I bring that in," he said. "The life experience not just allows to give specific ideas but how to learn how to see a problem and adapt to that problem."

In addition to Johnson, Susan Rowley and Jorge E. Hernandez will also be on the ballot.

The current municipal judge - Robert Doty - is not seeking reelection.
