Council approves annexation in second vote

City Council took a second and final vote approving the annexation of about 2300 acres on the southern outskirts of the city.

It expands the city limits into an area roughly between University and Milwaukee Avenues to County Road 7500. 

Council also approved what it calls the 2-12 agreements. It allows current property owners in this area the option of being exempt from the annexation for 20 years.

So far council has approved agreements with 81 property owners.
