DPS investigating hit-and-run crash on US 84

The Department of Public Safety is investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred Friday evening.

Troopers report a red pickup hit a black Volkswagen Beetle on US 84 just west of FM 835 and left the scene.

Witnesses reportedly followed the truck to County Road 3100 then continued south and made its way to US 87 heading north.

DPS reports another witness called in a black pickup that was driving on a rim and pulled into a business near FM 1585 and US 87.

Troopers report they arrived and found two unnamed occupants in the vehicle.

The identity or condition of the victim has not been released.
