Hobbs woman arrested for bogus bomb threat

HOBBS, New Mexico -

A suspect was arrested in connection with a bogus bomb threat in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Amy Valdez, 30, is awaiting arraignment on a 4th degree felony charge.

Hobbs Police evacuated businesses and diverted traffic around the 1800 block of N. Turner Street around noon Friday.

Officers report after a two-hour search no explosive device was found.
