Council approves private airport attendants

City Council approved a measure that will have private attendant's patrolling the front of Lubbock International Airport.

These attendants will monitor traffic flow under new parking rules at the airport.

Police officers will no longer routinely patrol the lanes in front of the terminal.

Airport Director Kelly Campbell says the police presence the past few weeks was intended to encourage drivers to drop-off and pick-up passengers as quickly as possible.
