Look Around Lubbock: Lemonade Day

It's that time of year again, Lemonade Day is Saturday, May 14th. There will be thousands of young entrepreneurs across the Hub City selling their delicious lemonade and possibly some treats. The theme for this year's Lemonade Day, is Lemon Wars and each child was asked to pick a side the ‘light’ or the ‘dark side.’

Each child involved received a free backpack, attended workshops and learned how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand! They learned valuable life skills through each activity like setting goals, making a plan, working that plan, providing good customers service, and earning their very own money.

They are challenging all Lubbock residents to purchase at least three glasses of lemonade from children around town.

You can find:

Katie and her fresh squeezed lemonade and BBQ wraps at the Quick Quack Car Wash on 50th and Flint from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until she sells out.

Bella and Micah with their pink lemonade and hot dogs at 4412 18th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Autumn and Ashtyn Paige in Kings Gate in front of Malouf's from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. they will be selling regular, blueberry and strawberry lemonade.
