LPD warns of IRS phone scam

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Lubbock Police say they have received several recent complaints about an IRS phone scam.

LPD reports callers identify themselves as IRS agents and threaten to have arrest warrants issued if taxes are not paid in full.

Police say the IRS will never call and threaten arrest or demand payment, so if you get one of these phone calls, just hang up.
