LISD board members sworn in Tuesday

The new and re-elected members of the Lubbock Independent School Board were sworn into office after trustees certify the results of the May 7 election.

Scot Mayfield becomes the new District 5 board member. Bill Stubblefield was sworn in as the District 2 trustee. 

Incumbent at-large trustee, Melissa Collier, who was unopposed in the election, is beginning another term.

The board selected Collier to serve as the new president, Laura Vincent as vice-president, and James Arnold as secretary.
