Look Around Lubbock: Summer Camp with Moonlight Musicals

Moonlight Musicals is hosting summer camp for kids ages 5 to 17 who are interested in theater, music, dance and visual arts.

Camp for kids ages 5-11 is on June 13-16, July 11-14 and August 8-11 from 9 a.m. to 11:45. Camp cost $85 and will be located at the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheater.

Camp for the older kids ages 12-17 is on June 20-23 and July 18-21. Camp cost $85 and will be located at the Moonlight Musicals Amphitheater.

You can register you child for summer camp through the Moonlight Musicals website.

Moonlight Musicals is beginning its 11th summer series with Suessical, followed by The Pirates of Penzance and will finish with Rodger and Hammerstein's Carousel. Each show will be performed at the Moonlight Musicals amphitheater, the gates open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8.

 Suessical will kick of the summer series and will run on June 10th,11th,17th, 18th,24th and 25th.

The second show of the series is The Pirates of Penzance. The show will run July 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd.

The third, Rodger and Hammerstein's Carousel will run August 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th.

The Moonlight Musicals Children's Theater, is putting on its summer production, "Into The Woods Jr."  The show will run on the mornings of July 8th, 9th,15th,16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th, and 30th. The cast for the Moonlight Children's Theater are all members of the youth group, Moonlight Directions.  The show is about 50 minutes long and is geared to the younger audience.
