Covenant Children's honors first responders at luncheon

Covenant Children's Hospital recognized first responders at a luncheon as part of National EMS Week.

"A lot of the folks that provide services in our region are actually volunteers," said Covenant Children's Chief Medical Executive Officer, Dr. Amy Thompson. "These are folks that have full time jobs and just do this on the side and do this as volunteers. These are folks that have full time jobs that just do this on the side."

Thompson says there are over 50 companies that help provide emergency services to the Lubbock region.
