Cooking fire caused blaze near 54th and University

Lubbock Fire Rescue reports an accidental cooking fire is to blame for the flames at a home near 54th Street and University.

The home reportedly suffered damage to the kitchen and living room, and heavy smoke damage throughout the rest of the house.

LFR reports no injuries to any of the residents or pets, however five household members are displaced due to damage.
