Driver hits tree after south Lubbock police chase

LUBBOCK, Texas -

A driver hit a tree after a short police chase in south Lubbock Tuesday, according to LPD.

Police report officers were trying to stop an SUV at 82nd Street and Indiana Avenue when the driver sped away heading south.

The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle while turning east onto 91st Street.

The driver was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
