LUBBOCK, Texas -
Jodey Arrington is looking ahead after winning last night's Republican primary runoff in District 19.
Randy Neugebauer is vacating the seat after more than a decade.
District-wide Arrington received 54 percent of the vote to Glen Robertson's 46 percent.
Those numbers were mirrored in Lubbock County.
Arrington does have one more race ahead of him, but he says he's ready for Washington.
"The best way to thank the voters is to roll up my sleeves and go to work and make sure that they have the strongest voice for our interests and our values and to go deliver on the things that we talked about throughout this campaign, whether it was rebuilding our military, restoring our leadership position in the world, border security, national debt," Arrington said. "We've got major challenge that face our country, and I can't wait to get to work."
Arrington will face two challengers on the ballot in November, Libertarian Troy Bonar and Mark Lawson, candidate for the Green Party.
There is no Democratic candidate.
