TTU Athletics warns NCAA tourney ticket buyers of false sales

Posted:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

Tickets to the NCAA Lubbock Regional Tournament this weekend has been sold out since Tuesday.

Season ticket holders and Red Raider Club donors got access to those tickets first.

If you're still trying to get your hands on one or two you should watch out for false sales.

Most importantly, don't accept email print-out options seen during regular home season games.

"This is an NCAA event, so each person that comes through the door actually has to have a hard ticket at home," said Sr. Associate Athletic Director Robert Giovannetti. "So if somebody emails you something and tells you hey just print this and bring it, that will not be a ticket that will be accepted. If you're going to buy a ticket form somebody not us you need to make sure that you physically get that ticket. "

Office apparel for the game will only be sold at the Matador.

"The contractor for the NCAA for this tournament," said Matador owner Steve Massengale. "So we'll be selling on site as well as having the product in our stores. We expect starting tomorrow a lot of attention in the stores. We're preparing for big games all weekend."

The first pitch is tomorrow afternoon as the Red Raiders take on Fairfield at Dan Law Field.
