Teddy Jack's raises funds for Lubbock Lupus Foundation

Teddy Jack's Hub City Grill donated $7,000 to the Lubbock Lupus Foundation, raising the funds during a month-long fundraising promotion.

Curtis Jordan, owner of Teddy Jack's, says getting involved with the foundation and raising the money is personal for him.

"My son has lupus and he contracted it about two and a half years ago, so we felt like we needed to do something because there is no cure and we wanted to do something that would raise awareness and also help towards funding research for the cure," he said.

The month of fundraising is the kick-off for the Walk for Lupus this fall.
