Teen knocked on doors for help after being shot, police say

A 17-year-old was taken to the hospital Monday morning after being shot in the abdomen, according to police.

Lubbock police report Milton Charles Gardner was reportedly knocking on doors asking for help in in the 2700 block of 36th Street after midnight.

University Medical Center reports he is stable at this time.

Police say homicide detectives arrived on scene and recovered a stolen pistol and the potential location of the incident.
