A suspect is in custody on multiple state and federal charges after the Lubbock Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division, Street Crimes Unit and SWAT Team served a high-risk search warrant in central Lubbock, according to a press release.
Chad Stricklan, 49, was arrested after a search in the 2400 block of 30th Street yielded methamphetamine and heroin, along with seven firearms on Feb. 29.
Five of the weapons, according to the release, were reported stolen in recent burglaries. The weapons included a short-barreled AK-47 assault rifle, a short-barreled AR-15 assault rifle, one Kimber II .45 caliber pistol, one Remington 700 30.06 rifle, two sawed-off 12 gauge shotguns and one muzzle loader. The serial numbers had reportedly been removed.
Stricklan was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center.
