INTERVIEW: Shelia Patterson Harris, candidate for Dist. 2

Shelia Patterson Harris is among five people running for Lubbock City Council District 2. Floyd Price isn't seeking re-election.

Patterson Harris says safety, air quality and noise complaints are top concerns for District 2 residents. She says communication is key to addressing these issues, something she's done since she started campaigning for this seat.

"We make sure that we make contact with the citizens, allow them an opportunity to share that information, share their concerns," Patterson Harris said.

On the topic of annexation, Patterson Harris said she isn't opposed to expanding the city limits. But she is listening to residents who would be affected who don't want to be annexed.
