Massengale to replace Gerlt in District 4

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Steve Massengale defeated City Council District 4 incumbent Jim Gerlt Saturday night, with 64 percent of the vote.

Gerlt has been serving on the Council since 2012. He said in an interview he will likely not seek further political office.
