LUBBOCK, Texas -
The Salvation Army kicked off its national week Monday at Lubbock City Hall.
City Councilman Jeff Griffith signed the proclamation for the Salvation Army to educate the public about its work and ministry.
"The reality of it is, our ability to support the community depends on the community's ability to support us," said Salvation Army Captain Robert Parker. "We're so lucky and fortunate that we are in such a great community like Lubbock where people are just so used to helping others."
You can help the Salvation Army by donating or volunteering.
