Man seriously injured trying to cross I-27

A man was seriously injured trying to cross the northbound I-27 access road just north of 34th Street Monday evening.

Investigators say John Fulbright, 57, didn’t yield the right-of-way to an SUV. He’s in the hospital. The driver wasn’t hurt.

LPD’s Accident Investigation Team is reviewing the crash.
