Make some, spend some, and share some. That's what kids were learning to do on Lemonade Day.
Kids all over town were able to set up shop and sell lemonade.
Sisters Autumn and Ashtyn Paige have been participating in Lemonade Day for five years and they said it is a great opportunity to understand the stresses of owning your own business.
"It just seems like a fun opportunity to build your own lemonade stand and know how to run our own business," Autumn said. "You're prepared for the future."
Laura Ramirez said she signed her son Aiden up for the sole purpose of exposing him to what it is like to run a business at an early age.
"Well I wanted to show him what it takes to run your won business and we were going to do it last year but we decided to wait til this year," Ramirez said. "I felt like he would be more ready. He was excited and he is on board with it so it's been working out really good with us."
The Paige sisters said it takes a lot of prep work to get ready for the day.
"Well we have to buy a lot of lemons and like the night before we always prepare them by rolling them for at least two hours," they said. "Then we make sure that it's alright and we taste it to make sure it's where it's supposed to be."
Not only do participants have to prepare their supplies, they also have to plan ahead for the location.
"Well we all, all our family, we love Kingsgate shopping center and Maloufs, it's such a runaway of it, we just decided to be here," the Paige sisters said. "Plus there's a big shade tree right here so for sunny days it's not too hot."
Even though there are lessons to be learned, Greyson Hubbard said he was just there to have fun.
"I don't really care about the money or anything," Hubbard said. "I just care about selling stuff to people and have a good time."
