South Plains SPCA in need of summer fosters

Posted:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

For some of us the summer months tend to be less hectic...and easier for families to foster pets.

South Plains SPCA is looking for individuals or families to join the Summer Foster Program.

Wellness and medical costs are covered for the pet while in the program, as well as free training and a network of helping hands.

As a foster, you have to feed and care for the pet, as well as drive it to adoption events on Saturdays.

"The main reason for the Summer Program is because we do lose a lot of our fosters right now, people traveling or students who have gone home," said SPCA Foster Madison Weaver. "They will probably be back in the fall but for right now we need the extra help."

You can email the SPCA staff here for more information at
