LUBBOCK, Texas -
Lubbockites lined up for opening day at the new Chick-fil-A restaurant off University and 83rd Street.
One-hundred people lined up to win their free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
The new fast food location boasts more space for customers to get in and out quicker.
"We've listened to the guests and what they've said is our parking lots are just too busy," said owner/operator Brad Norris. "So Chick-fil-A has taken our parking lot and they've doubled it on the size. Normal Chick-fil-As are one to 1.5 acres -- this is almost 3 acres."
The new location has 116 parking spaces and room for a 50-car queue at the drive-through.
