Posted:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

(Information from Trinity Christian School press release)

Trinity Christian School has hired Lubbock native and TCS graduate Chris Lackey as head football coach.

After spending time in the U.S. Marines (including a deployment to Iraq), Lackey graduated from the University of North Texas in 2007. From there, he worked his way up the coaching ranks spending time at Coppell High School, Post High School, and Cleburne High School. Most recently, he served as the Defensive Coordinator at Victoria East High School, helping them make a run into the playoffs. Coach Lackey also coaches Power Lifting and Track.

In addition to his coaching resume, Coach Lackey is a devoted husband to his wife, Christa, and the proud father of six - Jayci, Rylee, Kai, Knox, Taelyn, and Payne (the newest addition as of May 20).

At Trinity, we know that football is an extremely powerful platform for equipping students to become Christ-like leaders, and we are confident that Coach Lackey has the perfect blend of knowledge, skill, enthusiasm, spiritual maturity, and leadership to spearhead our efforts to build a successful football program.
