LUBBOCK, Texas -
Lubbock-Cooper ISD is providing a new opportunity for non-traditional students.
The school district will open its alternative high school -- New Hope Academy -- which will allow students with circumstances that may prevent them from benefiting from a traditional school to have an opportunity to learn in a way that is suitable for them.
Lubbock-Cooper Superintendent Keith Bryant says the curriculum will still be the same and that this is not for those who have disciplinary issues.
"We're looking for kids that are good students, but need an accelerated pathway of flexible learning hours to be able to get their high school diploma," Bryant said.
Students interested in enrolling at New Hope Academy can find an enrollment application online at www.lcisd.net.
