Overnight shooting sends man to hospital with life-threatening i

Two people were injured in an overnight shooting in the 4800 block of Canton Avenue, according to LPD.

Patrol officers responded to a report of a disturbance and arrived to find Geory Smith, 40, with a life-threatening gunshot to the back and an unidentified female shot in the hand.

The name of the woman was not released.

Police say detectives are investigating and no arrests have been made.
