LUBBOCK, Texas -
A 26-year-old shooting suspect faces two felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Jerry Garza is accused of an overnight shooting earlier this week that critically wounded Goery Smith, 40, who suffered a life-threatening gunshot to the back of the neck.
Kimbra Andrade was also wounded in the hand.
According to the police report, Andrade and Smith picked up Garza from a hotel where earlier he reportedly made statements about seeing demons.
Garza then reportedly shot the victims at their residence in the 4800 block of Canton Avenue.
Garza is being held on a $250,000 dollar bond.
