Texans asked to weigh in on student testing and school ratings

Posted:

The State Board of Education is asking Texans to weigh in on student testing and school ratings systems by conducting an online survey through June 30.

The survey asks for opinions on the current systems and suggestions for changes.

Information from the survey will be included in a report to the Texas Commission on Next Generation Assessments and Accountability.

The commission's recommendations to the governor and lawmakers is due by Sept. 1.

The survey is available in English and Spanish.
